1Nothing but Problems  Mar 28, 2007 By Themis Nike
This program was the bane of my existence for the time it was in my office. It would not update my previous Timeslips version properly, and I spent over 10 hours on the phone with 'tech support' in India and the US trying to diagnose the issue. They were never able to resolve the problems.

Additionally, Sage has taken over a month to refund the money they owe my office. Several different representatives have claimed that we will 1)receive the refund within 2 days; 2)that they have no record of ever receiving the returned products; and 3)they have no record of any tech support issues, so the refund will take far longer.

I'm not the only one with these problems, too. Several other attorneys I know have experienced the same thing. Save your money.

1Timeslips 2007 has messed up my billing  Oct 16, 2007 By M. Harrington
I have had a number of problems with this software, the worst of which is clients not being billed even after the pre-bill worksheet verified all the information. After hours with technical support, the last support person confirmed that the software was flawed and that technicians are working on the problems and to check back later on the website. I was told to fax my receipt for a refund and now I am told my refund is denied. The software is bloated, unreliable and just plain faulty. Customer service has not served this customer well. The software has made a mess of my non-profit billing and has wasted time and money. Don't buy it!!!!!

2LEDES98B for TimeSlips  Apr 07, 2007 By PJ'sPal
This is a warning to users out there when you need to go to ebill clients at auditing firms using LEDES98B add on for TimeSlips 2007. TimeSlips goofed up here big time in my opinion. They require you to associate the TimeSlips reference field into the LEDES98B task code field instead of their own task field. The TimeSlips task code field is then used for the LEDES98B activity code field. This requires one to used the limited "A" codes in Timeslips task code field. What were they thinking of here? The activity "A" codes are pretty much useless for anything. As a result, you have to dumb down your TimeSlip task codes to activity codes. In my opinion, this makes it so that LEDES98B format is really not supported by the add-on software. Perhaps someone at Sage will read this and get it right someday.

5Timeslips Rocks!  Nov 08, 2007 By Mary Lincoln "Mollie Ollie"
Have used Timeslips for over 15 years in my solo law practice and LOVE IT. Just upgraded from Timeslips 2005 to Timeslips 2008 and data transfer was flawless and quick! Data transfer for versions 8 earlier (2003 and earlier) is difficult, granted, but that's not unusual with many software when you try to upgrade from a really old version to the newest version. Timeslips has always been good about notifying registered customers when a version will no longer be supported - i.e. in other words letting them know they may want to think about the upgrade.
