1Upset purchaser of this product  Jan 01, 2008 By A. Joyce Kadryna "Joyce"
Intuit will no longer support the payroll portion of this product and I had to re-order through an online customer service rep when I was having difficulty with the payroll portion. I had to remove the product and download a new Enhanced payroll and then mail back my copy to QB for a refund. Then it was more costly for me with postage return and a new product price, etc. They told me I would get a refund from QB but time will tell. You should not sell a product that Intuit will not support.

5QuickBooks 2008  Jan 28, 2008 By Erik Wolff "Carpkiller"
QuickBooks is a great software for small business managers. The only problem is the software can be difficult and I would suggest hiring a QuickBooks advisor to help get started.

1Intuit will monitor you business without you knowing. You are forced to keep it forever.  Feb 26, 2008 By M. shevat "Alientwin"
Quickbooks has gotton far from where it used to be. Small business software with easy input and quick reports. Now you must register, Check in monthly, Allow them to monitor your work, Update monthly, and never be able to sell your software to anyone els. If you fail to notify or update your intuit software you will be banned from ever using the software you put on your computer. I lost hours of work and talked to the Pakistanis on the phone for hours trying to work this out. I lost lots of time and money. I have to buy an other computer to run the software I had bougt for it. No one will change anything on my account. Intuit will never get my business again. I will go with Excel with is faster and prints out just as pretty. If you own Intuits software, you are stuck with it unless you go to Pakistan to sell it cheap.

2quickbooks going downhill  Apr 01, 2008 By A. Thelwell
Does a lot of things well however cost of payroll has gone up from $40 to over $300 a year no longer supports multiple companies, no upgrade discount. No technical support. Program constantly trying to sell quicken products.

3Upgrade install was terrible, but once installed works fine  Feb 16, 2008 By Michael J. Derenthal
I was upgrading from QBPro '05 on a Windows XP Pro machine and literally spent 2 weeks trying to get the new version to install and convert data over from my older version. The product ships w/ some patches that are supposed to take care of an install problem Intuit is experiencing w/ Windows Installer but I tried everything that I was told to do from Intuit's knowledgebase site and it wouldn't work. The solution ultimately was to totally uninstall all old QB programs on my system and then reinstall '08, and once I did that I have had no problems and it has been working like a charm.
