5Very good and easy to understand  Aug 21, 2010 By Paul Rantanen "Xasew"
We had to read this book for a course on contract theory and I must say that it's the best book that my school has made me read so far(though the final test did not have a single question on the book which was completely retarded).

Every chapter has a small summary at the end(very helpful!) and while all chapters have a distinct feature of the market they focus on, a coherent whole is formed. The information-intensity in this book is very high, so even with only 200 pages or so, this book teaches a lot. Rubin writes well, so I was able to read this in one go during an all-nighter before the test.

If you want to know why market participants act as they do, read this book. In fact even if you couldn't care less about contract theory, you should still read this simply to better understand the world around you.

Highly recommended!
